First things first, the box. Now i don't really care for the box, to me it just holds my gun while it’s being shipped. I will most likely end up throwing it away since I rather use a gun bag to hold my AEG, but you can probably use it to hold your AEG until you get one. I will admit it does look cool but other than that pretty useless to me.
I will go through each item in the box so you get an idea what you are buying. So here’s what’s in the box:
Here’s is the paperwork. You will receive two target practice cards. They are pretty thick so I don’t think the bb’s you shoot will go through them. Then we have a mailing registration card which you can send to them that will provide a 30 day limited warranty. I would suggest that you save on a postage stamp and do it through their website, or you can scan the QR code on the card. We then have the user manual. It goes through some basic stuff, gun safety, your fire selection, and maintenance. Give it a quick read at least, doesn’t hurt to learn more about something you just purchased.
Note: If you are a parent and you are buying this for your son or daughter I would suggest you sit down with them and go through the manual. This is a very fun game but we want to make sure you and your little ones are safe.
Oh and there are stickers too! Those are always fun to have.
Next up is the battery and charger. The battery as you can see is a 8.4 nickel-metal hydride battery. Now like I said earlier I’m still new at this, so I’m not all knowing with batteries…..yet. I can tell you that NiMH or nickel-metal hydride battery is the most common battery for automatic electric gun or AEG. Luckily the manual included with your gun gives you different battery options for your AEG.
Now the charger, it is a basic small battery charger, very common with AEG’s. There is one problem with these chargers. When you charge your batteries with these chargers for too long they will end up overheating your battery and that ends up ruining them and pretty much unusable.
You also get a cleaning rod. The name pretty much says it all, you use this to clean the barrel of your gun, or remove trapped bb’s.
Heres the magazine, it holds up to 360 rounds. All you have to do is wind up the wheel a couple of times and your set! Oh and one quick thing, as you can see on the picture they stamped the Lancer Tactical logo at the bottom of the mag. It’s not a big thing but I really liked it.
You also get a bag of Lancer Tactical bb’s they are 0.20 gram bb’s but I will go into detail on another post.
So after all that here it is…..Ta-Da! Cool right? I wasn’t a big fan of the M4 gun but I was very happy with it, shoots awesome and is perfect for entry level players. It’s under $100 at Airsoft GI which is a steal. I will put a link up if you are interested.
